Charity Profile

Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust

Registered Charity No.257136

We provide education and wellbeing grants to support children (0-18 years) whose parents or guardians work, or have recently worked (within the last 9 years) in the UK fashion and textile industry. This includes retail, head office, manufacturing, wholesale, design, distribution, bridal wear, menswear, knitwear, supermarkets, soft furnishings etc.

We are a small friendly team that provides a supportive and confidential service. We will always try to process your application as quickly as we can but if we are unable to help, we will point you towards someone who can. Dora, our grants co-ordinator, will be your first point of call and will work closely with you in confidence, from enquiry to outcome.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important that you have evidence of your trade connection before we can start work on your application (P45, P60, letter from employer / accountant, NI letter showing at least one year's employment). Please ensure you have at least ONE of these documents to hand, and then we can get your enquiry underway!

"I felt nervous about approaching FTCT, but when I called it felt as if I'd been handed a lifeline. Help came at just the right time. Everyone at FTCT was so helpful and didn't treat me in a negative way. They made me feel confident about asking for help. They didn't judge me at all – they're such a wonderful charity."

Tessa, former employee of M&S
