The Royal Medical Foundation supports doctors, who are or have been registered with the General Medical Council and who are in financial hardship, and their families. In limited circumstances we can assist with children’s school fees to maintain educational stability when families are facing challenging times – this is primarily when children are already part-way through fee-paying education and any changes to their schooling would cause disruption, or where a child’s specific needs can only be met via provision at a fee-paying school.

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the UK’s leading family of independent girls’ schools, with nearly 4,000 staff and 20,000 students between the ages of three and 18.
The Mitchell City of London Educational Foundation
View ProfileGrants support secondary-age children and sixth formers to stay at their current fee-paying school, when there has been a change to the financial situation. There must be a connection to the City of London through school, residence, or employment.
The Canon Holmes Memorial Trust provides financial aid to parents who, due to changed family finances, can no longer meet the cost of their children’s independent school education.
For over a century, the Foundation has supported children who’ve lost one or both parents or their support, offering stability, structure, and pastoral care within LWC’s award-winning boarding community.
LVS Ascot is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for ages 4–19, set on a 26-acre Berkshire campus. It inspires students to exceed expectations and is conveniently near London.
The Naval Children’s Charity supports the wellbeing and development of children and young people under 25 whose parents serve or have served in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, QARNNS, WRNS, or Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
Wispers Trust, founded after Wispers School’s closure, funds pupils in Years 10–13 whose education is at risk due to parents’ financial hardship. Applicants must live in Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, or London.
The Andrew Reed Foundation supports children who have lost the support of one or both parents by offering a Foundation bursary to attend Reed’s School. Entry points are Year 7 and Year 9 for boys and Year 12( for boys and girls). Priority is given to students where there is a need to board.
The Trustees offer grants to help students in years 11–13 remain at their current fee-paying school after sudden family income loss, usually alongside substantial financial support from the school.
