We are one of the largest independent grant-giving organisations helping those families who have lost a seafaring parent. The Institution supports families by providing grants for the children throughout their education.

Royal National Children's SpringBoard Foundation (“RNCSF")'s vision is to promote social mobility through providing access to a great education for young people facing or who have faced some of the most complex and challenging circumstances. By harnessing the power of fully funded placements and targeted outreach activities available in the UK's independent and boarding schools, we provide educational opportunities that are transformational for young lives.

The aim of the Trust is to assist those parents who, having selected private education for their child with reasonable expectations of being able to meet the considerable costs from their own resources, are unable to pay the fees as a result of genuine hardship, arising from an unforeseen change of circumstances.

Grants are made at the sole discretion of the Trustees.

The Canon Holmes Memorial Trust is dedicated to providing financial assistance to parents who on account of a change in family finances find themselves unable to continue to meet their financial commitments to their children's education within the independent sector.

We are a British national children's educational charity, which provides funding for the needy British children of Merchant Navy seafarers, professional sea-going fishermen and RNLI lifeboat crew members, who have served or are serving at sea and who are unable to meet their children's educational needs. Our Patron is HM The Queen and our President is HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, KG, KT, OM.
